WORKING WEEK FROM 2.9.2024 TO 6.9.2024

guarantor of the weaving part - Brigita KOLČAVOVÁ SIRKOVÁ

2D/3D fabric construction, 3D: multi-warp, multi-weft and multiple woven fabrics.

Students will work individually with CAD systems EAT and will prepare 2D and 3D woven fabric construction and then will weave resulting 3D woven fabrics using the rapier weaving machine with electronic jacquard shedding mechanism.

2.9.2024 09:00 - 12:00 Brief information about Summer School, discussion about the construction of the woven fabric.
  Presentation of weaving lab at Department of Technologies and Structures at Faculty of Textile Engineering TUL.
3.9.2024 09:00 - 12:00 Preparation of 2D pattern using CAD system EAT for jacquard patterning and jacquard weaving – patterns with different jacquard techniques.
  Preparation of 2D pattern using CAD system EAT for jacquard patterning and jacquard weaving – patterns with different jacquard techniques.
4.9.2024 09:00 - 12:00 Preparation of 2D pattern using CAD system EAT for jacquard patterning and jacquard weaving – patterns with different jacquard techniques.
  Weaving of final patterns of 2D jacquard woven fabrics in weaving lab.
5.9.2024 09:00 - 12:00 Preparation of 3D pattern using CAD system EAT for jacquard patterning and jacquard weaving – multi-weft woven fabric.
  Preparation of 3D pattern using CAD system EAT for jacquard patterning – multi-layers woven fabric.
6.9.2024 09:00 - 12:00 The weaving of final patterns of 3D jacquard woven fabrics in weaving lab.
13:00 Closing of Summer School 2024.
